1. Agreement & Booking Acceptance
By making a reservation, paying an advance deposit, or boarding any vessel operated by Indigo Cruice ("Company", "we", "our"), you ("Guest", "Client") expressly agree to abide by these Terms & Conditions. Please read them thoroughly prior to completing your booking.
2. Cruise Timings & Government Regulations
In strict accordance with Kerala State Port Department and Inland Waterways Authority regulations:
- Standard Check-In: 12:00 PM (Noon) at designated boarding points (Punnamada / Finishing Point, Alappuzha).
- Standard Check-Out: 09:00 AM on the following morning after morning tea and breakfast.
- Cruising Hours: Boat cruising takes place from 12:00 PM to 05:30 PM (with a 1-hour lunch break at anchor). As per government laws to protect local fishermen nets, night cruising is prohibited. Vessels anchor safely at designated lake shorelines from 05:30 PM to 07:30 AM.
- Morning Cruise: Morning cruise operates from 07:30 AM to 09:00 AM before check-out.
3. Mandatory Guest Identification & Verification
As mandated by the Kerala Tourism Police and District Collectorate:
- All guests (including infants and children) must present valid government-issued photo identification (Aadhaar Card, Passport, Driving License, or Voter ID) at check-in.
- PAN Card is NOT accepted as identity proof as per government tourism guidelines.
- Foreign nationals and NRI guests must present a valid Passport and Visa / OCI card to complete mandatory Form-C registration.
4. Onboard Conduct & House Rules
Guests are expected to observe high standards of safety and respect toward crew members and nature:
- Air Conditioning: Full-time 24 Hours AC or Night AC is provided based on the specific room/suite category booked.
- Safety Gear: Life jackets are available onboard for all guests and must be worn when requested by the captain during open water crossings.
- Prohibited Substances: Illegal narcotics, firearms, explosives, and unauthorized hazardous materials are strictly forbidden onboard. Violation will result in immediate termination of the cruise without refund and reporting to local authorities.
- Environmental Protection: Plastic waste or garbage throwing into the backwaters is illegal and punishable by marine fines.
5. Force Majeure & Weather Conditions
Safety is our highest priority. The Company reserves the right to alter cruise routes, delay departure, or anchor early in cases of extreme weather (cyclones, red alert heavy rainfall), high water levels, water hyacinth blockages, or government-imposed waterway bans. In such cases, alternative dining and overnight stay at anchor will be provided.
6. Limitation of Liability
While Indigo Cruice maintains rigorous safety standards and certified marine equipment, the Company cannot be held liable for personal injury, loss of personal belongings, or delays resulting from guest negligence, third-party travel disruptions, or events beyond reasonable control.
